Dr. Sajal Biring is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), as well as the head of the research division in the organic electronics research center in MCUT. His current research interests lie in developing artificially intelligent sensing technologies based on organic optoelectronic devices i.e., photovoltaic driven image devices, indoor photovoltaics, near-infrared exciplex organic light-emitting diodes, and ultra-thin/flexible electronics. Until now, Dr. Biring has published over 100 international journal papers and dozens of patents. Dr. Biring has prolonged work experience in semiconductor industries in Taiwan and China. Research Interests

Dr. Sajal Biring's research topic focus in the development of artificially intelligent sensing technologies for industrial gases and chemicals utilizing the organic optoelectronic devices. Therefore, his research encompasses both the fabrication of the optoelectronic devices as well as their applications in sensing bio-hazardous gases and chemicals. His interests include:

  • Gas sensors and chemical sensors
  • Organic photo-capacitive sensors
  • Sensors based on Surface enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
  • Vacuum deposited organic and perovskite materials and devices
  • Transparent OLEDs
